Front of House - Shift Leader
Reports to: Front of House Assistant Manager, Back of House Assistant Manager and General Manager
Provides leadership to: Team Members and Trainers

About The Role:
A Shift Leader consistently demonstrates exceptional competency in upholding and advancing our culture, team development, guest experience, business performance, and brand standards. Shift Leaders are recognised as high performers who model excellence in every aspect of daily operations.
Regardless of the position they are scheduled in, Shift Leaders are expected to lead by example each shift, displaying the behaviours, standards, and leadership expected of their role. Accordingly, Shift Leaders are required to wear the Team Leader uniform on every shift.
You must be available for weekdays and weekends, across mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and be prepared to open and/or close the restaurant as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Open and/or close the restaurant in line with company procedures.
· Assign tills and ensure cash drawers are ready for Team Members before their shift.
· Resolve guest issues and complaints promptly and appropriately.
· Ensure Team Members clock in/out according to their scheduled shifts.
· Take ownership of all aspects of the restaurant to ensure smooth operations throughout the day.
· Lead by example - be proactive and ensure all Team Members are doing the same.
· Count and reconcile drawers at the end of each shift.
· Lead front-of-house operations and act as Manager on Duty when required.
· Support stock checks, deliveries, and production planning.
· Supervise, motivate, and support Team Members during service.
· Support training and inspire a high-performing, guest-focused team.
· Maintain a clean, welcoming, and guest-ready restaurant environment.
· Ensure guest toilets and lifts are cleaned to restaurant standards.
· Ensure bins are emptied and correctly allocated to restaurant standards.

· Support business performance by driving sales, managing costs, and meeting key metrics (sales, traffic, guest feedback).
· Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to ensure successful operations.
· Inform FOH, BOH Assistant Manager and General Manager of TMs who do not show up for shifts.
· Communicate clearly with the next Shift Leader to set the following shift up for success.
· Count the safe and enter the amount according to the restaurant guidelines
· Count (double count) and settle all drawers, deposit all money
